Situated on a beautiful 3-acre waterfront property, the 10,000 square foot Centre shares this provincial and national historic site with Craigflower Manor, the oldest Scottish-built farmhouse in British Columbia. While the architecture of the Centre is contemporary, formal and material inspiration was drawn from historic Scottish structures such as stone barns and shelters, which led to a palette of natural and durable materials, (stone, wood and glass), that respectfully relate to the heritage of the site and quite literally ground the new building.
The circular, one-storey Centre features a 4,500 square foot main hall with a unique Celtic Knot beam ceiling and full sprung hardwood dance floor. Supporting rooms include; coat check, lounge and reception area, green room with private washroom, boardroom and commercial kitchen. A built-in 16 foot wide viewing screen in the main hall ceiling with laser projector highlights the audio visual technology found throughout the Centre. Onsite parking for up to 55 vehicles is available.

Hours available for rental
Monday to Thursday 8 am to 10 pm
Friday to Sunday 9 am to midnight
Minimum 4 hour rental rate for main hall or full building on Thursday to Sunday, inclusive.
A $500.00 damage deposit is required for rental of the Main Hall, Lounge & Reception Area, or Full Building. This deposit will be returned within 30 days to the renter following the event only if there is no significant damage from the renter’s event. Renter must provide own event insurance, or purchase event insurance from Craigflower Centre. No smoke/fog generators, glitter, confetti or similar items are permitted in the Centre. No wax candles permitted.
Additional services
Tables and chairs are included as part of rental rate. Tablecloths and Chair covers are additional charges. Removing all tables and chairs from Centre main rooms for bringing in outside staging is an additional $400 charge per event. If available, additional hours used on days before/after event for setting up/taking down venue are charged at $100 per hour.
Laser projector and screen available for $175 per day.
Horseshoe Bar available for additional $35/hour per bar staff (minimum two staff per event) with cost of liquor based on menu selection. No liquor can be brought into the Craigflower Centre by the renter. A 15% gratuity fee will be added to liquor prices for drink tickets provided to guests or hosted drinks. Corkage fee of $23 + GST per donated bottle for charity fundraising events.
Catering services are available for events with additional costs based on menu selection. Renter can select from Centre-approved caterers only. The Centre’s house caterer is Island Culinary Service. Outside professional caterers may be permitted for an additional fee ($500 for less than 100 guests; $750 for more than 100 guests) and must provide valid VIHA certification and insurance documents. Renters are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages into the Centre.
